New member intro and call sign request. (Issued)

Hello all, My name is John, I'm a retired refrigeration technician living in the greater Manchester area.
I've been interesteted in electronics as a hobby for most of my adult life but never really been into radio before. I caught a few youtube videos on the subject of CB radio a few months ago and this sparked my interest.
I'm interested in building my own antennas and experimenting with different designs.
I may sit the Foundation exam for Ham radio in the near future but I wanted to start transmitting sooner rather than later and so decided to get a CB radio.
I'vebought a Radioddity CB 27 for the car and a CRT SS 6900 to use as a homebase.
I'd like to request a CT call sign please and hope to make contact with some of you guys/gals in the future.

Great introduction there and good to hear a bit about you, plus well done with your CB purchases I'm sure you'll enjoy them.  

Call signs are usually issued most days so keep an eye on this posting for when you are allocated yours. I've filled in your profile from details provided here to ensure that there are no delays for you.

With your interest in electronics, radio and antenna experimentation I would say you were the ideal candidate for taking your Foundation exam and wish you luck with it. The forum is full of fellow enthusiasts more than knowledgable enough and very helpful when it comes to antenna experimentation as well as other things, so feel free to fire off any questions you may have.
