I've had a whole load of girlfriends up in the loft. From the 11m copper 1/4 which I named Ygritte to the current fan dipole called Wednesday (after Wednesday Addams because the mess of wires looks pretty scary to anyone who ventures up there). It's quite normal you know to name them, to talk them, whispering how you love how low their SWR is  We'll all back you up if you have any human girlfriend issues because of, so do let know her name when she's done

You're not alone with BG Homecare woes. Won't say any more other than we left them and went to Corgi HomePlan and reduced my stress levels.

To be honest, regarding the PL-259 fitting I'm not much quicker at fitting them than that. Like to make them as perfect as I can and take my time trying not to lose any stands of braid from the shielding.

When you join the coaxes will you just use a standard straight screw together coupler ? i think that is what it is called.
Screw 1 plug in 1 side then the same with the other then wrap with self amalgamating tape.
Could save me a load of hassle.
Only just thought about doing it that way i was going to take my antennas down and start again but i need help and can't always get any.
