Hi All
Used to be Shepherd Wolf in the good old days of Aunty Mary (yer, before they spoiled the fun in '81), but then moved across to become a ham in '83.
Went QRT for far too long and am now returning to the formal Ham side and on 11m DX.
Used to run a Cobra 148 GTL/DX (she was sweet!) though a Firestick (when mobile), though a 5/8 CoLin when home based or though a wicked homebrew Yagi for DX work (top of hills in the bloody cold weather, mostly!)
Now I use my old York JCB 863 (all original), a FT450 and FT857D, based in North Wiltshire (IO91AM).
Unfortunately, Insanity Claws didn't drop off my oft hinted at President Jackson or a Superstar 3900, so I will have to get them myself (yes, Mrs Claws is right back in the doghouse as a result)

Hello Tim, welcome to the forum.
For me to issue you a call sign your profile must contain your name, country & QTH (nearest town or city) Maidenhead identifiers are not specific enough I'm afraid.
Once done I can issue your call.

Just checked my profile, and it says my name is Tim, I am located near Swindon, in the UK. The locator was only for those who prefer them for accuracy.

Hi Tim,
I'm not sure why your profile was incomplete from my end the only complete field was the QTH which said "Wiltshire" but it's okay now. My grid square locator covers several local villages and my nearest town, we prefer to keep it simple and have just the one name.
I am delighted to allocate you 26-CT-4379 may you have good luck with it.
Just a heads up, I would urge you not to confuse the modern era 3900 and the Jackson 2 with their predecessors. The new 3900 is known for drifting off frequency. There are a few 10/11 meter radios which to be honest will be inferior to your 450d so I'd not suggest them but you might want to check out the President McKinley which is fairly popular at the moment.
