Hi, just joined and looking forward to setting up new base and mobile. Looking at crtss 6900/7900/9900 when compared. I used to have gtldx148, sigma v etc. But most seem a bit overpriced (nostalgia I think) ATM. Any advice on rigs etc obliged and also 2nd hand gear that I may need. Was going to travel 500mile round trip for 80's memories but thought better against it. ATB

Loads of members here that returned to CB radio after a similar time space as well as those starting new. I'm sure many can assist you or give personal recommendations on CB equipment that they may also have.
A 500 mile round trip might be worth it if it's something you really want to get your hands on at a decent price but be careful as some of the older CB's are fast becoming expensive 'classics'! (Some of them are also overpriced knackered old dogs so be careful of those wistful memories. )
You don't have to take a call sign right now if you don't wish but when you do you'll have to fill out your profile to include your name.
Have fun shopping around and I wish you all the best with your return to CB radio.
All the best, Victor
