Good afternoon all,
Ok so it's been a long time since i was on the air and the last radio owned Cobra 148 GTL/DX currently have an ic7300 and do not wish to mod it, what are the current radio's of choice i see so many but which should i avoid and what gets the seal of approval for SSB operation nowadays, stock or modified.
Thanks in advance

Go for the SS9900. 10 11 and 12m. 60w on ssb. Small compact size compared to the dx 5000 etc.
Paul.

The IC-7300 is fairly easy to wideband. Would you be happy using a radio without all the useful features it has?

Good afternoon TrunKY yes i know what you mean with all the bells and whistles the ic7300 is a cracking bit of kit but i'd prefer to keep them separate that for the Ham bands and another radio for the CB side of things hence i never got the radio widebanded.

Not all CBs are created equal. I've heard a few on receive pulling out signals better and sounding much more pleasant to listen to then a few ham radios made by the big three when comparing on 11m.
Michael, I am sure you'll have hours of fun with your new Lincoln.
