Hi, My name is Andrew, I first became involved in CB radio in the late 70's early 80's but drifted away after few years. been involved with Amateur radio now for a few years and thought I would like to get back into CB and take part in the South West Wales Net. CB usage in West Somerset doesn't seem to be popular. just listening on an IC705 for the time being whilst I decide which CB rig to purchase

Welcome to Charlie Tango.
Your profile is all good to go for call sign allocation so just keep an eye on this posting for when admin allocates you.
Local copies on CB frequencies can be a bit hit or miss depending on where you live but when the propagation is good it's an exciting band to work in any mode. Definitely not the same as 'back in the day' but sometimes blessedly so.
