hi my name is Gary and i was on cb in the 70s 80s and 90s with quite a substantial set up ... i live in a 14 story block of flats and i had an antron 99 on the roof at one time ..
just joined to have a look round and see what's what .. thinking of coming back to cb and need some advice about a few things so i will start a thread and look forward to meeting some of you guys ...

Hi Gary. I've just bought a CRT SS 9900 radio with a sirio 4000 aerial. Apparently sideband is the way to go. I haven't set up yet as I've had issues with home life that come first. But YouTube has some good advice. Try "Fred in the shed" for instance. And I'm in North Wales along with others in Ireland and Wales so we could possibly set up a net.

The CRT 6900 looks a good buy.
i have watched nearly all of Fred's videos and it's him who has me wanting to come back on .... the 6900 will be the radio i choose and i will start a thread about the problem i have getting an antenna ... thanks for the reply mate ...
