Good morning to the CT family,
Today is my birthday and although it is another milestone reached, it is the 1st birthday since my dear mother sadly passed away. But I woke up this morning to what I assume is an auto generated email from this group wishing me a Happy Birthday. The point I am trying to get across is, although it may be automatically sent to all group members, this time with how I feel, its nice top receive a message wishing me a Happy Birthday so thank you to the CT group.
cheers, Mark

I thank you for the kind replies. It has been hard to get through these last few months but with family and friends, it makes it that bit easier. Thank you all.

I feel your pain mate and oddly enough this has just reminded me my mam passed away on 20th may 2011 just before her birthday. I've missed it due to my head up my backside losing one of my dogs, a mate in hospital with heart attack etc. Also my dad passed April last year just after my birthday so what is usually the best time of year being spring etc is marred somewhat.
All the best and thanks for reminding me. I'll get some flowers now

Sharpshooter....Wow!!. You have had some rough times my friend and am really sorry to hear about them. Hopefully, you had family and friends to help and support you during your times of need. Thanks for your kind words too. It helps you to think you are not alone.

Ah no worries mate, there's always some other poor bugger worse off. I have my other dog whom I'm spoiling more than ever. I'm learning more with age not to take things for granted And yes I think loss can bring people together. The mrs and I put petty squabbles aside more as time and tide go by. Lifes too short.
