Morning chaps
We'll been sitting on this question for a while now and I don't know about you but our 2 meter repeater seems very quite ? I'm located near the Brill va repeater and  others but seems almost dead here .
Has anyone had the same where they live ? And is 2 meters finished with including 70cms ?

Both 2 and 70 repeaters here in West Sussex seem dead most of the time.

Go back a few years they were heaving 24/7.

Both my local repeaters Daventry and Rugby are very active, it just depends on your locality really.

73's Gary.

Does seem to depend on where you are.

GB3BF - Bedford, BEDS is pretty dead and not sure if they still have the evening club net. (2m)
GB3OV - St. Neots, CAMBS is still pretty active with regular nets. (70cm)
GB3PI - Royston, CAMBS always has some activity or someone monitoring. (2m)
GB3TU - Tring, HERTS used to be fairly busy. (70cm)
GB7CT - Tring, HERTS always used to be busy too. (2m DMR)

Can only hear GB3VA Brill on a morning lift and I remember it used to be fairly busy so not sure what's happening there.
I would have thought MK and surrounding areas would have activity due to the club.

Not been using the repeaters myself since disappearing down the FT8 rabbit-hole over the last two or three months. (Embarrassed to say really. Embarassed )

Always worth giving a shout on them if you're a licensed Ham just in case. 2 meter repeaters 1f44d

GB3HY has a club net on a wednesday but not listened for a while.
It is dead most times and calls go unanswered.

It is a shame to hear reports of empty repeaters but great that some try their best to keep activity going with club nets.

I found I couldn't concentrate on my FT8 activities as well as listen out on the repeaters not helped by poor rubber duck signals into them. On a scan cycle the radio would stop on a repeater but it always feels like some only call into the repeater once or simply 'kerchunk' them.  Neutral

I've heard complaints of repeaters being 'boring' but with regular tropospheric lifts it can be quite exciting. 2 meter repeaters 1f44d
