Hi everyone,
I'm from Germany and I'm 40 years of age, so barely out of my teens. Very Happy

I just registered here in hopes of finding insight into the CB game.
I remember how I always wanted a radio, but never got one as a kid. And at some point I lost interest in it (I think girls got in the way albino

).
Recently, after a fit of nostalgia I looked up what it would take to run a CB radio.
I ended up buying a President McKinley and a DV27L. I mounted the antenna on the car this Thursday and scrolled through the channels.
I was amazed that I received people from the US and various other places with perfect reception. I guess it was just blind luck with the conditions. However, I didn't know how to start a conversation so I kept listening on different channels.

I felt stupid not to have started sending and searched for ways to do it. The ins and outs. And there is quite a ways to go for me. I guess this forum will be helpful in that regard. Cool

So this search lead me here.
I noticed a lot of calls seem to be a chance to exchange call signs.

I want one... lol!

How does this procede?
Am I allowed to make suggestions? I already checked the list of assigned call signs...

We can certainly issue you a call sign to assist you with your radio interests but firstly we need to know a few things....

Your first name.....

Your location. (Is that Wolfsburg?)

If you click on the 'Profile' button at the top of the site when you are logged in you can enter those details. If you have any problems then provide your details here and we'll fill in your forum profile for you.

Call signs are issued in the internationally recognised format for CB radio of country code, club name and then a membership number. In your case this would be :-

13CT and then a numerical sequence.

You can certainly choose a number that has not already been allocated and you can check the member list here :-

Once we have those details our admin Gary can allocate you a call sign which we hope will help your radio interests further.
