Hi, I'm Steve, retired gent with lots of time to spare. Always been interested in electronics , gadgets of any kind and currently enjoy lego robotics with my nxt and ev3sets. Was actively involved in cb radio in the 70s both mobile and home base. Moved from Portsmouth to Halifax in the 80s brought up a family and sort of lost the radio side . Today i am disabled and am trying to get back into it, have cb homebase and with help from my mate stuck up a homebrew antenna and hoping to make some contacts soon. Also joining pmr446 scene. Passed foundation course 18 months ago with Call sign M7SFD but yet without external antenna. I would love a ct call sign and hereby request. Thank you, just joined your site and looking forward to meeting new friends Regards Steve

Just to add, that's a great introduction Steve and welcome aboard.
There are a lot of helpful members here at Charlie Tango with a wealth of information already posted by many, so if there's any questions you have or even to just simply shoot the breeze feel free to make a posting. Don't let an external antenna stop you from enjoying your M7 licence HF privileges either, I've played with everything from magnetic loops to bits of wire slung out of the window in my quest for contacts. Currently I have a length of lawnmower lead in the loft and working the world!
