I post this short vid for two reasons. One... Because I found it funny. Although probably slightly staged as she does funny stuff like that, I can really imagine her not being a 59er and one who likes to have chat.
Two... I have had a 12m QSO with the ham that she had her brief QSO with. On his QRZ he says to email him to confirm the QSO on QRZ and LotW, so I did. He confirmed soon after, but then followed up with a mail with a plea for a donation to help him get his awards as it costs him more than 100 usd. Donations to be sent to EA7ADH, who has a very spartan QRZ page. I do try to be charitable, but I didn't donate in this instant. His QRZ shows his current log with over 313k contacts, I wonder how many of those have given money.
Anyone else experienced anything like this before?

Hi Neal,
I'm afraid I have come across such 'begging' instances and more times than I'd care or like to remember.
It does annoy me when such practices are carried out in the name of 'Amateur Radio'.....
When it should be about the nice surprises and smiling faces when we make contacts such as shown on the video you posted.
