| Hi Bill,
I can't specifically recommend a repair centre for you having never used any but there are plenty listed after a quick internet search. It might be worth contacting each that you find giving details of your radio and the fault with it to see if you can get an idea of repair price. Obviously they may not be able to give an exact price but should be able to give you at least a rough or ballpark figure.
Don't be shocked if the repair price is quite high depending on the fault, components like final output transistors can be expensive and hard to source but problems like encoders and such should be much cheaper to repair. (There I'll always be 'labour' costs involved though.)
Sometimes you have to stop and think why certain items are listed on the likes of eBay especially with the typical "spares or repair" and the "no returns" policy they add to the listing. Have they already tried to look up a repair price and choked at the cost? Also makes you wonder why some bid so high on something that could very well be beyond economical repair when it comes down to it.
I hope this is not the case in your example and that you can get it successfully repaired.
Do let us know how you get on even if only for the benefit of others reading this posting on the forum.
All the best, Victor | |

| Is it actually faulty. A lot sell on ebay as parts to stop the part pirates and screwdriver experts so no returns. I have sold in this way for that reason but i did say in my advert that was the reason for selling as parts and the radio was in full working order. | |
