Subject: Retro (MK2) President McKinley Frequencies Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:31 am
Hello all,
I'm fresh so go easy.
I have an elderly but recently serviced President McKinley radio. It's the 70s/80s model with the silver facia and what I believe is an identical unit to the old President Jack.
It has FM/AM/SSB as well as a Hi/Lo band switch.
Can anybody help with what frequencies this transmits on (relative to the channel numbers) as my Google-Foo isn't strong enough to work this out.
Thanks, Ben

Thank you very much both. Yes that's the radio in question, I just needed an SSB radio (for testing something) so I picked it up from a very nice gent for experimentation.
Is there a way to swap one band (I gather one is CEPT) so possibly the other one to UK 40? I'm not desperate to do it but I guess there's no easy hack?
Hope that makes sense, Ben

Hi Ben,
There is this post that discusses moding on this radio.
