I would appriate any suggestion about calling channels, nets and most important codes to learn. I now have my attena up higher. Any help with how to make contacts apriciated

The most common are: QSK, QRZ, QSO, QRM, QRN, QRP, QTH, QRT.

Don't get too hung up on the need to know them all they're not the be all and end all or radio operating.
