I just contacted my cleaner and offered him a good chunk of money to run my 66ft endfed around the loft properly. At the moment it is just poked in and will probably work a lot more effectively run around the loft in an organised fashion. I did think that I would have to buy a ladder too, but he has one in his van, so that saves me cost there. I just hope he doesn't come through the ceiling, as I have no boards down.
In the end I am aiming for a Victor solution, I don't expect it to work quite as well as it isn't a genuine Flymo lead

Fingers crossed he's agile, but careful at the same time, and can balance his way over those joists. Hopefully you'll have an improvement.
Will be interested to learn how he bends it about up there and how it works for you, particularly 80m or lower.
