Hi all I'm Gordon from Norwich Norfolk. I have now recently got the itch for all things CB radio once again after what seems like forever. I can remember being a teenager when my father first got interested in CB radios when the craze first hit the UK. We had a rather large antenna on a scaffold pole on the side of the house and dads brown Mark 3 Cortina GXL was equipped with the Amstrad 901 complete with mag mount, and not forgetting the local meetups at the social club handing out those notorious eyeball cards So as for me now I find myself with lots of time as I no longer work due to health problems and mobility issues. I'm now using a wheelchair and mobility scooter I do still drive but not very often So finding this interest to chat with others on the CB radio has come about. I'm ready with the antenna on the scaffold pole on the side of my man cave (shed) the radio is working and the SWR is just right all I need now is the call sign and I'm ready to go. So hopefully if I make it across in the right direction we might get a copy or two until then 73.

(Been housebound disabled myself for a number of years but must admit that the radio interest opened my world immensely. I hope the same is true for you. Great to reminisce about those old CB days, my old Dad and his Cortina fitted with a Stalker IX had a lot to do with my early interest too!)
