Hello. On my 9900, I was transmitting & the lcd went black, the power flashed off momentarily then came back on , this has happened a few times. What could be causing this please? I'm using a 13.8 v power supply unit. Many thanks.

What size power supply is it how many amps. Would think you would need 15/20amp for that radio. Also double check the connections on it.

The connections look fine. Power supply unit , current 5 amp constant & 7amp surge. Input is 220 volts AC 50hz..

Power supply is NOT up to the job. If you want to use the radio turn the output power right down. It could and will fail and damage the radio. You need to get a bigger Amp supply i would suggest a 30A if you can but 20a at the lowest.

30Amp power supply is better if you can run to the price. You will be future proof for when you get your Ham ticket and get a HF radio lol. Radio is a bad bug to catch and i think you have the symptoms

I definitely have the bug . Very expensive for power supply, some cost more than the radio . Can you recommend anywhere to buy one.?
