Subject: Hello everyone (Issued) Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:40 pm
Hello. My name is James, and I have always had an interest in radio communications. I lived in The USA for many years and hold a US general class amateur radio licence. I also had a CAP licence from the USAF Aux. Plus I hold a CAA issued RT licence for aircraft operation (PPL).
I am now living back in The UK, and as there is no reciprocal licence arrangement, with the USA, I am reluctant to start on the amateur radio licence system here, as the entry level is so limited in operation.
I play around on PMR to some extent, but would like to get back into 11 metre operation, particularly SSB DX’ing. I would be grateful if I would get issued a CT call sign to facilitate that. Many years ago, I was into CB before and after it’s legalisation in The UK.
Looking forward to communicating with you all!
