I wish you well with your house move Dave (nothing more stressful!) and hope you get sorted out antenna wise.
For me to live a quiet village life all my antennas are hidden in the loft space being 'wire' affairs and even on CB frequencies I can manage some DX but cross-polarisation makes local work difficult. (Not that there's a lot on in my area anyway.)
When I have 'played' in my own back garden with magnetic loops and verticals despite the six foot fence panels a nose always manages to appear asking if it will wipe out their Wi-Fi or stop their washing machine mid-cycle.
Could be worse, you might have had a new neighbour with a roof line resembling a porcupine with many antennas erected wiping out any chance of you getting on air at all with their RF emanations! Sometimes it's nice to be in the 'minority' hobby interest. (I have a close by 2m repeater which swamps my front end whenever it 'peeps' even right down in the SSB section.
)
Exciting times though, starting an antenna farm anew and here's hoping you have enough space for a nice warm indoor radio room.
All the best,
Victor
