| Hello Grady,
Yes the Vector 4000 will be a good antenna for the 11 meter band, the question might be how durable is it? I've never used one but I'm sure we have some on here who have.

| For standing up to wind the Imax 2000, Antron A99 or Vortex Antennas Quasar are good ones.
I do pass a farm on the way to work which has a Vector 4000 on a versatower and it's been there the last 5 years and it gets bloody windy there.

| Good luck with the Vector 4000 great working antenna, if you are not so exposed to the elements it should last a while. Connor if the antennae you pass at the farm on the Versa Tower is down in the Vale of York its a mk1 Vortex q82. A vector 4000 would not last long in that exposed location as it takes a battering from the wind. Not high asl around the Vale of York but we certainly get a constant winds on the open area. | |

The one near Shiptonthorpe? Ah, thought it was a 4000. It's certainly getting a good workout with the wind down there. Just looked at the price. For £375-£400 it should be bombproof.
