Dear friends Can anyone help I've got a mass dx 5000 radio I'm trying to unlock it out of ham bands into cb bands eg 27.555 etc Do I need to plug the radio into the computer to do this Or can it be programmed without the computer I've tried everything and can't unlock it Keep getting a ic9 50 on the display Can someone explain exactly what I need to do From the computer to the radio Thanks Best regards Kevin

If it's the same as the AT5555, just hold Func and EMG pressed down when you turn on the radio. Your display will read 1band. With the channel selector choose 2band. Then hold down the Func key. The display will read rEs followed by rEnd. Release the Func key. Now you can turn the radio off and on again. Band D will be the CB band. 27.555 will be on band E.
