Hello, my name is John.  I live in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. That is close to Lake Michigan of the Great Lakes region, and 500 miles south of Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada.
I have used CB since the mid 1970's but just recently tuned in to the 11 meter band SSB.  I have been educating myself about the current solar activity that is giving long distance DX on the HF band.  My farthest QSL was southwest England, Triple 15. I didn't get the operators name.
I am studying for my technicians license for HAM radio.
