A nice 'copper cactus' there Jimmy and I hope you have as much fun using it as you obviously did making it.
Well done.

Hi Rich,
Only because that's what I know them as after reading articles from our USA cousins way back in time. (73 Amateur Radio Today magazine February 1992 - Front headline "What's a copper cactus".)
They do look like a Saguaro cactus we all knew from the many 'Westerns' cowboy films.
All the best, Victor

Nice one, and glad it's working for you.
Before you make a 70cm one, give the 2m one a go on 70cm. It might not be a perfect SWR match, but should be good enough to use. My homemade wire 2m J-Pole did me fine on 70cm. Plenty of UK contacts. Had one SSB contact in to France with it too. You might be surprised what yours will do for you on 70cm.
