Hi All
Looking to make an REF Choke to hope in reducing some of the noise on my radio, which is the best coax to use..
Thank you...

Is it for 11m? I have one I made for 11m and the close by bands. I used RG58 as it was easy to coil up. I only have RG58 and RG213 here to use, and the RG213 I have was not pliable enough to get into a coil.

hi Andy im the same above i used rg58 as had that to hand and like allready said rg213 would be better but dam hard to bend, i used a bit of soil-pipe off cut to make it then cable ties, works great !!

If the 'ugly balun' does not do it.
9 turns of RG142 on an FT240-31 toroid, will give good choking, >2k ohms at 3.5-30MHz
All the bits needed to make one are available from Hamgoodies.co.uk.
