I've had the Albrecht AE2290 and I must say it was a great piece of kit. It all depends on what you wish to do and what bands you want to work on yourself, for me the decision was made when I wanted to DX so the added bonus of using SSB on the Albrecht won it for me. Easily switchable between UK mode on Export mode (access to the freeband) via a small bridge under the PTT rubber. I had a paperclip on my keys all the time to switch between the two modes. If you're just into localised chitchat and a bit of EU skip on FM and AM then you can't go wrong with the Thunderpole TX. My opinion for what it's worth, the Randy III is overpriced for what it offers. A few more pounds on top and you can bag an Albrecht multimode handy.
