I picked up a very cheap telescopic whip fishing pole that could be good for getting wire antennas up into the air. It seems like a good pole and is made from fiber glass. Its a metallic silver color almost looks aluminum but isn't.
Would the metallic silver color affect the signal?
I have done a brief test with it and I got a low SWR so I'm assuming it would be OK to use as an antenna pole?
Its a silver NGT QuickFish 6M pole...
I plan on using it for 4 meters & 2 meters 70cm
Would this make a good antenna pole?

Just looked that one up. They're going for a very good price. I never pay a lot for parts for antennas but prices I've just seen for that are a darn sight cheaper than I have paid for fibreglass telescopic poles. That's a good find.
If the paint is not metal it won't effect the signal. I've had a 2m wire j-pole inside a piece of UPVC pipe that had shiny paint on it and the antenna worked just perfect. You'll be fine.
