| Hi Everyone. Was into CB like a lot of others dare I say it way back in the late 70's (handle was Apache if anyone remembers??), recently retired and got into Amateur Radio and got my license last year, purchased a Yaesu 857D and had it widebanded so I could transmit on CB band which I thought would be a bit quiet how wrong I was......it's good to see all you guy's keeping the hobby alive and kicking, couldn't believe all the nets that go on around the country brilliant!! dare I say it more going on than the amateur bands  I do a lot of mobile stuff so looking at purchasing another radio for CB like the Alinco DX10 and a suitable mobile antenna (suitable mag mount aerial recommendations welcome) Anyway guy's thanks for the site and look forward to many contacts with everyone around the country, Cheers Tony P.S could you allocate me a callsign please guy's | |
