Looking for the new 'Buxton' site for 2020

Hi All,

I think we all agreed we have some what out growing the Buxton site,
so if we stand any chance of finding somewhere else between now and next year I thought it would be good to see if anyone out there has any ideas on a new location?

please add any locations or ideas below.

Here’s my starter for ten :-

Most will be unsuitable but I don’t mind contacting each one to. See what might be able to be offered in terms of a meeting hall, dry standing for whooping great big mast, etc

Anybody got any thoughts as to where in the country would be most suitable?

Somewhere within easy reach of a railway station would be handy for those of us who don't have their own transport.

I would think mid country would be fair to allow everyone the same sort of travel distance, sadly this could be the most difficult bit to full fill

I know Ozzy is looking at places up north but nowhere is ruled out if suitable so have a scout around while your out guys, its a once a year event and not about to end

From a radio point of view I would be a bit suspicious of any place starting with the word " lower "

Hi could Ct3044 confirm that I made contact today 17.11.2019 at about 9.30am on 27555 my call sign at present time is lc 54 my name is adrian smith I was asked to go on frequncy 27600 but was not quick enough New to frequency counter be my first dx copy to Watford from Ilkley in west yorkshire many thanks 73s

Ok, latest update on the Bash
Still looking for another location but thought we could always fall back on Buxton, however after
looking at re booking Brandside I got this message

NO BOOKINGS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
DURING RENOVATIONS OF THE HALL

Seems they are doing the old place up, it did need it but hope its still afordable if no substitute is found.
Will keep you all updated as and when we find out anything new, fingers crossed
