| Subject: Widebanded Albrecht ae 2990 Handheld... Mon Jun 15, 2020 7:23 pm | |
| I’ve been giving some thought about getting one of these, but the reviews I have read give very differing opinions of how they perform.
I’m a keen walker & living in Devon we’ve got plenty of hills to work /P from! I would want a widebanded one so I can use 10, 11 & 12 m.
Has anyone experience of these radios please, is it worth getting one? | |

| With the stock antenna I'd not hold out a lot of hopes. However plug it into a dipole thrown up in a tree and it should do well. | |

| Yes, however I do see some reviews reporting poor SSB on tx, that’s why I’m in two minds. But it’s a lot cheaper than buying a FT 817 just for those frequencies... | |
