Long live the DV27. A very underestimated aerial in my opinion (and my first aerial on a tin).

A dummy load is one thing on my list of stuff to get. I never go up from the 555 well not often so i wanted it a bit lower. Don't think the 1/2 wave has the same band-width the 5/8 wave has but it will do for me Tommy rock on.

Alan I will post a video on how to make your own dummy load called a Saltwater Dummy Load ,Ive made a few of these myself and will cost next to nothing to make and they work perfectly if done right ,I'm not going to take credit for the video because it was done by a old member from here Gary (offplanent)
If Admin would like to put this in the how to / info section please do but give Gary the credit please .

Alan,
Martin's suggestion is an ingenious one and I've never seen it before, however there are more elegant solutions to building RF Dummy loads.
I've put a post up here :-
RF Dummy Load
Hope that helps

Some history of saltwater dummy load https://kv5r.com/ham-radio/2018-projects/salt-water-dummy-load/
also you can buy ready made jars on ebay at silly prices when its easy to make your own the bigger the jar the more watts it can take.
