I use a Moleskine A5 squared notebook for notes while listening and talking. Then I enter the basic details into a spreadsheet I made.
Since I'm not on the HAM frequencies I found that the s/ware does not help much for CB (they don't have 11m band!?), even if manually entered which is a PITA.

So maybe a larger Moleskine hardback could be an option?

If I use digital modes then the electronic log entry is created and eqsl sent.

I have tried electronic log books but found sometimes that trying to make a contact when it is busy I have overlooked the  logging.

I think (like an earlier post) that if you created a spreadsheet you can make it how you want it ie a4 or a5 landscape/portrait with as much or as little information as you would like and compile them in a suitable folder.

I personally use a note book when I am listening around making rough notes on frequency callsign band etc to get an idea of the band then return to them a little later. It works for me but probably wont suit others.

Cheers Richard.

I've now found that I quickly scribble callsigns down on paper with a pencil, (ballpoints can stop when you least expect it!), and at the moment I'm logging on Linux software to write down at a later time. Still need to find a log book with the quality I want and already returned two less than perfect examples.

So essentially, same as you're currently doing Wink

All the best,
Victor

Hi Ian, (Captain Fantastic),

Sorry I missed your posting back then. I did actually order a moleskin type hardback, (wasn't cheap!), but the quality of the binding I got was not the best in the world so I sent it back.

Still looking, which is hard to do online and don't fancy travelling at the moment to look in person.

Thanks for your input though. Smile

All the best,
Victor
