Just looked on spaceweather.com New sunspot group AR2778 (new cycle 25) has gone from nothing to a whopper in 2 days. Has a complex magnetic field capable of "M" flares. Been a while since I've read that. Also there is a CME that MIGHT clip Earth. This is nothing to do with the sunspot but an unrelated filament

Interesting. A couple hours after your post, the bands opened wide! My question is... coincidence, or is AR2778 responsible?

A C7 flare today from Earth facing group 2790 maybe a CME coming?
