In your location, which channels have the most traffic? Just curious. So far here I find most traffic on Channel 6 and 19.

On Manchester U.K. 19 is by far the busiest, then you get people moving to 17 from 19 for a 121 chat then back to 19. Other than those on 19 there is rare traffic on the other channels.

Only truckers where i live and no need for them to shift channels as they are the only regular users of cb around my neck oh the woods .I know a few of them and have a rag chew now and again. The pipe and slipper gang vhf/dmr hams all talk about whats wrong with them and how hf is dead "which its not". I am of an age where i can remember the days when cb was booming all over the country and its was great but things move on and they were good memories i just wish more folks up here would embrace cb again .

I can remember those time too of pack out channels, even before in the illegal days in the 70s it was like it , but it seems it's dead everywhere even down here in built up London , you can switch on the radio and go through all the UKFM channels and its silent not even any of the Ch19 Muppets who like to block it out with there bull5hit, on the mids you might get a bit of Euro stuff on FM but very seldom AM mids totally dead which is a shame because right back from the 70s we wanted that legalised and no body uses it and apart from a regular little informal net on SSB mids every day on 27305 usb which even that is dying out ,a couple of times I've sat in my shack for hours and heard nothing even scanning from 25mhz to 30mhz there is nothing on the radio.

Like most place in Britain, the most frequently used channels/frequencies in this area are ch19 on UK27/81 and ch12 high- band (27.555 usb).

On UK FM here only19 and then only evenings. I don't hear anything on the rest of the UK FM and people sit on 19 without moving clearly using big boots. So even if anyone distant called on 19 you probably wouldn't hear them. From high ground do also hear CH 38 in use, I think it's the Southampton net but I can't hear it from homebase. It is certainly a lot quieter than it used to be, back in the day when 19 was always busy and set channels were in use by monitors. Before sat navs you would hear Southampton Monitors all day long locally over there giving directions to various Dock Gates etc.
