First question how did you get a call sign of 954 when that is already a CT call sign appointed many years ago ,please remember you cant just make one yourself you have to apply via application in the introduction section if you read the rules in red it will explain,
As for getting your radio on option 2 what is opinion 2? ,normally I know seller a have different options to programme the radios to before sale but without knowing what 2 I cant answer that one as for power supplys for the radio your getting you will need a power supply that gives 20amp supply at least the antenna part really without seeing and looking at its condition it might be better to buy a new one a good cheapish aluminium antenna start at about £25.

Agree, Alan beat me to it sorry Chris I didn't realise, bloody ell you've been away from the forum for a while lol , the reason I ask about the options thing is I'm not in to the newer type programming type radios so didn't know the options I'm in to my old school radios more ,as for antenna if you can afford it and your gonna get back in to it seriously again get yourself a Gainmaster 5/8 wave fiberglass antenna expensive but very good.

All I remember is when I joined Alan was that ,I joined with a forum nickname unlike now some on here join and put their real name or a make up callsighn and whatever ,all we had was forum names and everyone put there real name in the profile plus with proper QTH and not some map grid reference that some do in fact the joining process was quite struck when people filled in the application if you didn't fill in the mandatory section properly it would not let you proceed so there was none of this asking people to put there real names or real QTH and all the other stuff that Gary has to keep asking people for plus another thing not being rude back then people seem to be more sensible and could understand the joining processes and not just post in random parts of the forum saying "Hello my name is ???? give me a call sighn" , anyway I was asked if I wanted a call sign because back then you didnt have to have a CT one to be a member but without the call sign you was restricted to only certain parts of the forum so I ask can I pick or do I get allocated well being a newish forum I was allowed to pick unlike now ,TBH the very original forum from 2009 when I join was a lot more strick in some ways because there was more rules , perhaps strick is the wrong word but I cant think of another perhaps organised maybe but you get my drift

When i joined this forum i couldn't lol. The confirmation process wouldn't go through so Gary sorted it out for me but in my profile i had his email. Tried several times to change the email address but kept failing on the verification thing. Just recently somebody was having a problem with the site or something like that and a different browser was mentioned and it gave me an idea. Came out of google and logged in with the MS browser and it let me change the email address in my profile. Strange but true works perfectly in chrome but wont let me update my profile. You have plenty of call signs ?????

I have plenty of call signs because some are from old clubs I use to belong to ie: the TE one is my first old club Tango Echo dx club Essex (pre internet forum club ) WT Whiskey Tango (another pre internet club) I got that from being invited by a French op who happened to be one of the main admins of the club ,infact it was my daughters faught as such when she was about 12/13(she is 30now) she use to have ago at DXing well one day she copied the French station I've mentioned, anyway through the QSO she mentioned this is my dad's radio and I spoke to him and he said I will send your daughter a QSL card when the card turned up he also gave me and my daughter call signs ,the others are FB Foxtrot Bravo my first internet club and CT which you know.
