| Hi I have installed a pni s9 antenna on the roof of my van I cannot get the swr below 1.7. It has a good bodywork earth ,coax is not crushed no shorts. I have a pmr antenna 1ft from it and roof racks, I removed both no difference to swr reading. Do you think that is the limitations of the antenna ? The rig is Lincoln ii+ checked the swr on mfj290. Regards. | |

| Does it alter at all lifting or lowering the whip. My guess is you have the whip all the way down and that is the lowest SWR ??. If so you could try cutting the slightest bit off the whip the thickness of a match and see if it goes down a bit more. | |

| Hi the sweet spot is 27.305 swr 1.7 . The swr is 2.0> 2.5 at 26.995 and 27.7. I will replace the coax to see if I can get an improvement. | |
