Excellent, this guys radio channel on YouTube is cool, he shows plenty of mods and reviews of new and old gear, i get the impression, what you does not know frankly is not worth worrying about, very knowledgeable guy.
As for the DDS kit, its not too expensive either.

That does look like a really cool mod, but for my eyes the display is too small.
