Hello avid readers of mine,
I was wondering if any of the members here, have any experience with Caduceus Coil Antennas..? If so what is your experience with them and what type did you build.

"avid readers of mine" lol. Caduceus coil practically consists of two coils wound in opposite directions. Their magnetic fields cancel out and so most of inductance is eliminated.
Magic ends there.

Hello Alan
My interest in the Caduceus coil is the claim it can eliminate several items on an antenna such as a Balun and an RF ferrite choke.
I'm experimenting with a 70cm dipole with a Caduceus coil, to see if anything how it performs in the wild.

Have to admit I had to look this up as hadn't heard of it before. As Alan suggests, don't think it will perform well. But.. there's only one way to find out. Let us know what you find with your 70cm experiment.

Will you be transmitting on it or just RX.
