Gutted for you! Owned one in the distant past and would love one again, just to look at. Will keep an eye on the major auction sites to see if one with that casing conditions turns up. The telsat / excalibur ears and very used top cover make it very distinguishable to others that might pop up for sale.
Hoping it will still turn up for you though. UPS lost a shipment of ferrite cores that were being shipped to me from the US, but they did finally turn up and get delivered some weeks later. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed for you mate that it's just misappropriated within the UPS system and makes a late show.
Everyone here has already expressed the feeling well with 'gutted' and I feel the same way for you. I peruse the auction sites often so will also keep an eye out but hope it makes a show via UPS.

That’s awful Ashley, if it’s lost in the UPS System I suppose there is still hope or was it stolen from you personally. If you can please share the serial number, I watch a lot of the sales forums on Facebook it may turn up on one there.

That is heartbreaking to hear, such an old classic too but you have done the right thing asking other radio users as if it appears on the market it will stand out immediately, quite often it is the drivers who help themselves I have seen countless videos of them leaving the item at an empty address, taking the photo to confirm delivery them picking it up and taking it away again to sell on again. I am sure we have all had similar experiences in this day and age I certainly know I have but I have had no trouble at all especially with deliveries and items left on the doorstep since I put up a couple of cheap little cameras and the warning stickers to alert others of their presence. It would be a shame to let this unfortunate incident, the dishonesty of another spoil your coming back to the hobby and enjoying yourself!

Hi Ashley
Can you get the UPS tracking number from the sender? You can to see where it was last scanned and ask UPS to start searching for it.

So the tracking shows it left Stansted and poof it vanished? That is a typical UPS answer I'm afraid. Has the sender requested a search or put a track and trace request in on the item do you know? Sorry to ask what seem obvious questions.

Not just UPS.
All the next day carries have consignments going missing. due to theft, damage, labels falling off and even labels being created but the consignment not being sent.

I had the same with HERMES, I foolishly insured it, the drivers have mates in the office who let them know which ones are insured therefore probably worth a bit. I guess same with the company you used, prob same as all of them, mind Parcel Force seem OK. One employee at Hermes some years ago was imprisoned for theft of hundreds of parcels and selling it all on ebay, I went to the police but they said they had to have a name b4 they could do anything... ha-ha. Good luck getting it back, 2 years later I'm still waiting for my 7000, I do however keep reminding HERMES they don't like it... !
