Hi, I've returned to CB after 40 odd years. I used to be on back in the 70's with a Stalker V11 and a Midland 80 and loved listening to the Skip from the USA and Italy. I recently bought a used Thunderpole T2000 with  Sirio Magmount but not having much fun with it so away to order a CRT SS6900 with a Silver rod. My other half with go nuts when she sees the antenna! Once I get all set up I'm getting into DX ing on the sidebands. I'm in Elgin, Scotland, up on the highest part of the town.
My antenna will be mounted on the side of our wooden summer house in the back garden so should belt out a good signal along the Moray Firth and beyond.

I'd like a 108CT~~~ callsign please and thanks.

Thanks, I've been torn between the 6900 and the Alinco DX10 but going for the 6900. I'm worried about the reaction from neighbours (and my partner) if an 18ft antenna appears so I may start with a Sirio signal keeper on a pole to get them used to an antenna.
Like I said we have a wooden summerhouse down the bottom of our garden. It was built a year ago for my partners new dog grooming business but she's expanding into a bigger unit in town. She doesn't know it yet but I'm commandeering it as my CB shack. I'm watching hours and hours of youtube vids on CB and DX ing but any tips and advice I can get on here is appreciated.
Looking forward to getting my call sign.

Hello Grant, welcome to the forum.

I am delighted to allocate you 108-CT-333 may you have good luck with it.

The Sirio signal keeper is a pretty poor antenna I personally would avoid the compromise. Bite the bullet take the flack and put up a decent antenna, it really is a must these days because stations are spread much further apart than they were in the past.

73's Gary.
