Hi just to introduce myself...the name is Mac and have actually returned to formally using a CB since the days when totally illegal back in the 70s when it was great fun .. chatting to the states with a mag mount stuck on a biscuit tin and you needed 120 channel radio to find a clear space ...then came the 27/81 and things went downhill fast ...so decided to become a radio ham ... anyhow now there seems to be a lot of activities on 27.555 ...so thought it be a good plan to request a CB call sign Best wishes to all and 73s

Hi John ..all sorted..it's great here in the summer but being out in the country in this wet weather it's a tad bleak to say the least 🥴.
Best wishes 73s Mac

Hi Mac,
I know what you mean, it is the same here in the Peak District.
My favourite place to stop is the caravan site near New Gale Beach. Solva is a fantastic place to stay, too. (I would move there tomorrow). I always enjoyed walking around St. Davids, as well.

Hi John...yup know what you mean grew up here but as an auto technician worked in midlands most of my life before returning home ... family lived in this house since 1890 lol ...left amateur radio for several years, got fed up with nothing but contests 🥴...then thanks to a 140mph bike crash decided to play with the radio again having sold off all my gear inc an 80' tower ...I can be found on qrz.com under my call 2w0mct.. Best wishes...and 73s Mac

Hi Mac,
Sounds like you have some great history in that house.
Glad to hear you survived such a high-speed crash.
My brother lives in Miskin and quite often we travel over to Pembrokeshire with my sister-in-law and nieces. They are all big on kayaking and surfing. Maybe catch you on the radio on my next visit. Always tuned in to the Tripple.
Best 73s, John.

Hi John...yeh I was lucky broke everything you could inc pelvis in eight places..died three times but still here lol I did think to post a funny wind up story from early CB days when was all AM and ssb all obviously illegal ...when working in Derby as senior tech with vauxhall one evening I was sat in my conservatory with a huge water tub over my head talking to a guy and told him I had a problem !! I was working on the huge drainage system and the battery in my torch had gone dead and it was such a maze I couldn't find my way back ...I asked him if he could take his hand held CB and shout down a storm drain on the main pentagon roundabout so I could follow the sound of his voice and get back....my mate called round in tears laughing so much saying how he was listening to it all and saw the guy on his hands and knees actually shouting down a grating...on what fun we had in those days... Best wishes 73s Mac
