Hi after probably 35 years or more I'm back on CB. A Christmas present to myself. Initial thoughts are it's quiet out there but I suspect that's to do with my QTH being below a large hill. So I've decided to go mobile and use that large hill to my advantage now all I've got to do is work out when the best time is to go on. I've got myself a 6900 and a sirio mag mount so it's a little more daunting than my old 40 channel rigs back in the day. I think I started of with a Midland 40 am before things became legal and them remember getting an Amstrad 901 and actually buying a licence at my local post office. I have to say my biggest issue so far has been sourcing equipment as I live in Northern Ireland and all my old haunts are well gone now. I'm going to give it some time and am already thinking about setting up another rig at home for testing purposes . Anyway happy to talk with anyone local to North Down anytime. Looking forward to getting a call sign Paul
