Well at 4.02pm today i transmitted albeit on ft8 from my shiny new shack. Bit more to do and a good tidy up to follow. 2 ic-7300s moved over but the last of the twins is all alone for tonight but will be joining the others in the morning. Picture is the best i can do in panoramic mode but you can see the setup well what is there for now.

It's looking awesome Alan. I'd love a shack / man cave like that one day, but my better half won't want me getting any such ideas just yet

Well i am up and running at long last just 1 or 2 little bits to finish off. Been a bit of a struggle being disabled but worth the extra pain lol.

What i ended up with is. 8x6 T&G shed from power sheds they are modular so you pick where windows and doors go while you are putting it together. Front and back the 8" sides are double walled due to a cockup they sent the wrong panels but then resent replacements TWICE. The door end and rear are panelled as is the roof. All insulated with a king-span type insulation but for less money but also lines with that foil bubble wrap stuff roof included. Floor is covered with shuttering ply good enough i thought and also the roof felt that came with the shed is under the floor underneath. Yes i have covered the roof but i fitted a rubber roof kit found a fair priced one on Amazon but you might find better deals. Spray painted the inside with a grey household silk in pale grey Station commanders choice. Office grade carpet tiles on the floor nice to walk on as well. Desk is out of an 8x4 ply and runs the length of the shack and across the end as well all 2" wide so got more than enough work space. Also the shelf the radio's are on came out of the same sheet so no waste at all. Power is run from the house on 7mm cooker cable i call it to a consumer unit in the shack. Just an earth leak trip and 2 others 1 for the ring main i put in and 1 for lighting. Only fitted 6 double sockets 2 with triple usb sockets on them but i think i should have fitted 2 more doubles but not a problem to add them later. Well i think that is it for my thread a lot of work for me being disabled but got there in the end. A big plus is it is nice and warm in here so i am happy as a pig in $h1t lol. Thanks to all for there comments and all that. Back to playing radio now.

Was thinking about your shed shack whilst getting dressed to walk the dog this morning (yeah that sounds weird I know lol). Was wondering if you've made a final final touch of a heater, or maybe a kW tube amp (for 11m of course) to keep the place warm. I've got 4 layers on and still cold this morning!

Funny you should ask Neal. I have been using a small gas camping heater but i have to watch the fumes well watch the numbers on the monitor on the wall. But i am in the process of installing a 12v diesel night heater. Only a small unit but rated at 8kw. It is going in a box outside well fastened to the shack wall. Comes with a 10ltr tank and from looking at reviews and videos that should run for 30+ hours on a tank. I only need it on for a short time now and then as it gets warm and stays warm in here where as running the gas i have to have the door open an inch so loosing heat at the same time. This new heater will run on red diesel kerosene paraffin and normal diesel. My sister has oil heating so buys in bulk so i might get some off her you never know lol. Would like a bit of sunshine and no rain so i can get it sorted out asap.

Inside the box needs a bit of sort out but it works. Not sure on the fuel usage but in 3 hours it has used about half a pint but it was running flat out. The box needs the legs cutting it was a bedding box pine so gave it 2 coats of the decking oil i have and will give it several more. It did have a remote but i haven't seen it today lol but it might work from the house 4 or 5mtr away witch will be handy. Just finishing the lid covering it with left over rubber from the shack roof.

The control panel might only say 18c but this is in the middle of the shack. And rising need to turn it down more but will do that after seeing how it is in the morning at silly o'clock when i come in the shack. Warmer in here than the house but no room for a bed lol.
