Hi Vandora,Just upgraded from the CRT 6900n to the CRT 9900 V4 a month ago and to say what a difference would be an understatement.Where to start - Much better Mic and fantastic audio reports, smoother Clarification dial that doesn’t click and cut out the signal while being adjusted.Being able to store 5 memory channels (Simple I know but handy),Output power Am 15W/FM 45W and SSB 60W PEP (Mine swings 80W PEP SSB). The 9900 doesn’t get as hot as my 6900n and I mean you could cook an egg on the radio if used at full blast on FM.I’m told the newer version of the 6900n v7 has vents on the casing for better heat dissipation.Better numbered digital SWR Meter not little squares like the 6900n. If there was a minus point for the 9900 it would be the lack of adjustment on the Roger bleep,Just 5 to choose from.Go for number 5 as the other are either too long or sound like something from Toys are Us.And I’m told the echo is too overwhelming but I’ve never used it. Overall a great radio for the money on either 10,11 and 12 meters and I wish I bought one from the start. Hope that is of some help. Cheers Tom. 26CT4029

Hi thanks Guest for the info, the local shop here in Greece does not have any longer the previous models 9900, just this V4 at the same price as previous models & does some freqs down to 24mhz
How many AMPS need the 9900 v4 to work at full power ? Thanks

I have two 9900's and they are a fantastic rig but I have noticed two issues with mine. The extension speaker socket sometimes sticks and wont return to the radio speaker and also the channel selector knob can be a bit sloppy jumping two channels sometimes and sometimes none at all. I wouldn't let it put me off getting another though.

If you have the programming cable you can go into and alter the roger beep , for single tone increase the time on the first box and the other nine boxes are set to zero and none as an entry.this cancels out the pause and the rest of the tone burst. The pitch of the tone may also be changed
