Buxton Bash is dead in the water, the parish council are asking far too much money this year and too many restrictions. Yorkshire Bash is Alive. Camping is £10 per night or £25 for the 3 nights. All money will go towards the Portaloo and BBQ.

Here is the main station stats that will get used and maybe abused.
The Antenna is a H-brew 6 ele quad ( " It's F###in Huge " says Ozzy ) with a gain of 10dbd. This means that we will be slightly above the 12watt ERP limit, ( 500 wtts will give approx 5kw ERP ) but close enough.
The amp is an Acom 1kw that will tick over all day at 500 and with that Antenna we shouldnt need any more .
The tower is 80ft at full height, it depends on the wind speed but will good at 40 to 50ft all day long. Radio is a K-wood TS590, works nicely on the bands. The seat is always available for anyone to sit and have a play. I will have my Laptop with me, can run up plots and designs for yagis or quads if you are thinking about building one.
It would be great to see some new faces during the 4 days.

Would be nice to be a new face but alas yorkshire is a tad to far out Nice aerial though would be intrested in how much it cost as ive been looking at the big signal 4 bs 11 which comes in at about 525 euros

Hello folks,
I will most likely not make it over this year.
Our annual Chester trip is in August this year to coincide with a family 80th birthday celebration. I will see what I can do but most likely count me out. A shame but that's the Irish Sea in between for you.
Still, if I can't make it, I will get high on one of my perches and see if we can't make a contact. Take care for now.
