Hi, this is Alistair. I have filled in my profile. I am in Sussex UK, I have had a foundation amateur licence for about 5 years with a 2m/70cm mobile but I've not been very active, tbh I haven't found it as interesting as I hoped, never seem to get much by way of replies apart from on repeaters such as GB3IW (which is great, btw!). Digital modes don't interest me either.
I am a boat owner and also use Marine VHF.
I am considering getting into HF, with some sort of rig in the car that I can park on a hilltop and have a go with. Realistically I'm probably more of a listener than a talker but please can I have one of your lovely call signs?
Best regards, Alistair M6TXL

Welcome aboard the good ship CTDX Alistair. I also am more of a listener but do enjoy the occassional CB network, which maybe to your liking. I don't spend much time on the UK band but prefer Mids. (CEPT band). As I'm not too far away from you it would be good to make contact when you get a rig.
Good luck and 73, Tony CT4013
