Newbie (s) question really Is 43 mix the best / right mix for CB 27.000 MHz. Also, does the coax you use to make the choke have to match the coax already used from the antenna or as long as it's 50 ohms it won't make any difference??? Lastly....How many turns round the toroid will work best at cutting noise?? Used clip on ferrite rings on most things electrical around me, but need to beef up the battle of ground noise. Regards and thanks smileymiley

i use RG142, expensive but will handle most powers, put mine in a plastic box with sockets. They don't need to be in a box but water proof the connectors if outside. RG58 will do or similar small coax, needs to be 50ohms and 8 to 12 turns should do it.
