Hi guys, I’ve got a question regarding the reception clarifier on my Ranger 2995 DX CF when listening to stations on SSB (USB). After using it a lot I am almost certain now that it is slightly offset. Meaning I need to set the clarifier turning knob slightly to the left (1 notch) for it to be bang on frequency. Is there anyway to modify it so that when the knob is centered it is bang on frequency on RX. On TX the radio is bang on frequency with excellent reports. Thank you!

Victor, you are once again totally aligned with my thoughts. First thing I thought of doing was to turn that clarifier knob one notch CCW, pull it off, center it and push it back on. But on second thought it felt like an easy cover up!…but now that I read you that’s exactly what I am going to do and probably start screaming at most incoming stations for being off frequency! Haha! I couldn’t stop laughing at your last comment. I also have experienced those guys complaining about others drifting to cover up their own receive problems. Too funny

(Is that right with a double 'l'? Not sure but that's what's in your profile. My apologies if otherwise.)
Ha! Yeah, not everyone appreciates my level of humour. Then again it seems that some have their 'funny bone' surgically removed at birth. With the new fancy colour screens available on some radios I've been told I'm 100Hz off before.....I suppose if that's what their screen says.
I'd go with what you were already thinking of and rotate that knob a knurl. Much easier.
Well, got to shoot as Grandkids will be visiting soon and as it's so hot I'll get the hose out for some childish fun. My wife often says despite having six grandchildren that there always seems to be seven at play.
Enjoy your radio (it is rather a nice rig) and have a great weekend.
All the best, Victor

All the best to you Victor and yes it is two Ls (it is French) so your spelling was spot on frequency! I’m also off playing with the hose, the dog, the wife. In that order (no kids this we). Thank you again and enjoy the hose, etc…might as well make the best of that weather. Cheers!
