Hello Good People.
Anybody used the new - KPO DX5000 V7 Plus radio. I just wanted to know your opinions and thoughts on this radio.
Cheers.

I haven't used, but do have a v6 version of the 6900 which is pretty much the same radio, just a bit older. If you are looking for a rig to use on CB I am sure you would be happy with it. I had a lot of Euro CB contacts, and 10m contacts on the 6900 soon after passing the foundation as it was the middle of the E skip season, and had many good reports using it.
I see you have a Lincoln 2+ listed as your equipment which has the addition of 12m, so just wondered what was catching your eye on the DX5000? Just curious

Hi SangueG.
What i like about the KPO - DX 5000 is that it has a large frequencey readout , and because of my eyesight issues it would be easier for me to read. Thanks for getting back to me with your thoughts - its appreciated.
Cheers.

Ah, understood Jeff. My closeup vision is pretty poor so the large channel and frequency digits do help me. I can't read some of the other output on the display like the mode and functions without my glasses though... I made a DX contact up to the north of the country on the 27/81 channels last summer where they said my audio wasn't great, I realised when I put my glasses on that I was using AM and they were of course on FM
The CRT SS 6900V looks to be the v7 version of the 6900N if you fancy an all blue display version of the radio. Other than that I can't see any differences between the v7 versions of the DX5000 and 6900, someone else may know otherwise.
