Dear CTs. "Season's Greetings" might be a mannerly intro I guess, being on the threshold of another DeathToTurkeys celebration. Although I put Just Landed above somewhere in a box, - I'm not new. Just been busy with other stuff. My original registration must have fallen victim to a bit of housecleaning when non posting members bit the dirt. I'm still a licensed ticket holder, but I've been extremely inactive on any radio front for, maybe 3-4 years or so. Might be more? Been all taken up with my other mainstay interest, bird photography.
But several months back now, decided it was really foolish to have all this kit lying around and make no use of it - could almost hear the Electrolytics starting to leak!
I think was 108CT428 last time around. Haven't checked to see if it's been reallocated. 428 was my AT unit no. back when you could pretty confidently go DXing with any old ssb set and some wet string. Changed days, with Amateurs still pretty active but freebanders seemingly on the endangered species list.. no, that's wrong - found a wee ssb net one day a few weeks ago chaired by a couple of nice guys in Dundee, close enough for a few watts to make it there. And when I've tried on 27/81, 40 silent channels was all I could find. Hope that's not really the way of it. 73 Ian

Hi Ian,
Welcome back to the radio interest and Charlie Tango land.
When this 'new' forum started up back in summer 2019 (can't believe it was that long ago!) all active members just had to re-register a new forum account with their call signs still being valid. They never get re-issued and once allocated stay with you for life. (Or as long as people still remember them, so well done for remembering your old call sign!)
Indeed your call sign and details are still on the list :-
I've updated this account profile with your details accordingly.
I still enjoy hearing far flung contacts shouting back CT call signs when there's a bit of 'skip' on as well as reading net reports from active members with CT numbers on their lists.
In some places the CB airwaves have quietened down but other areas are often reinvigorated.....
Perhaps sometimes people (like yourself) are just busy with other interests.
Again, welcome back, enjoy your radio, oh and 'Seasons Greetings' to you too.
All the best, Victor
